Assaulted by Dinner Server. I've never been physically assaulted by a dinner server before; tonight was a first. Let me start off by saying that I've been to this restaurant more than five times. The food has always been semi-fresh- lot's of it! Not what I would call altogether horrible (stale squid/lamp-over dried fish, etc.) but not incredibly fresh either. My biggest complaint is that if you get there two hours or later before closing time, chances are, you're going to be asking them to bring out fresh frog legs and crab legs, because, the trays will be empty, or close to it. Their system is methodical and consistent. You order the buffet, and then you fill up your first plate. Already, if it's near closing time, they will not have replenished some of their trays. So, as you're eating, you wait. And watch. And hope. But no- still no fresh trays. This was the case (again) tonight. A month ago, I had to ask one of the workers to bring out some fresh frog legs. I had to ask again tonight. They know it's empty! They keep an eye on it, but this leads us back to their "system". They will feign ignorance while expecting their customers to choose what is left in the other trays instead. This saves them money. They get to keep their more valuable crab legs, etc. in the back while they push the older food instead. But this isn't right. The whole night, I waited for them to refill the sushi tray. No dice. There remained only two sushi in the tray for over an hour. I waited for them to refill the crab legs. Nope. For over 40 minutes, six cold, small, crab leg fragments soaked in the briny water undisturbed. But still, I watched and waited. I was tired already and began to feel frustrated and I was now put in a position of IMposition. The server had already said thank you and left the bill-folder on my table, but I wasn't finished, so I waited longer and watched the buffet. Still no crab legs, frog legs, or sushi. I could see three servers across the mostly empty restaurant, sitting- two of them eating. By now, my glass had been empty for over 10 minutes and my stacked plate was full of used napkins and had been sitting on the edge of my table for over 20 minutes. (continued in comment area)
