Great Food. The Coach Lamp is a great little restaurant with outstanding food. I have been about four times within the past year. The staff for the most part is very nice and considerate. Our server was an older black woman who had a very dry sense of humor. Almost seemed annoyed most the time while serving us. I ordered a beer at the bar and brought it to our table and she asked to see my ID after I had showed the bartender, which kind of annoyed me. Also my sister found a sharp piece of plastic in her food. I tend to stay away from confrontation but we told the waitress and she brought the meal back to the kitchen. After getting our bill they didnt give any discount or refund. We shrugged it off and didnt really get mad. The last time we went was my brother in law's 40th b day. We had a party of 6 and my sister called and asked if she could bring a small cake for after our meal. The Cook ( owner) was really inconsiderate to my sister on the phone saying hypathetically " Thats like me asking to coming to your place of business and saying can I bring my own eggs to cook." I felt it was unecessary to be that way. A simple no woulda been fine. We ended up buying their cake which was not home made and paying 20 dollars for it. Dont get me wrong they have great food but the service the past two times was poor.
