Palermo Viejo. I think that Palermo Viejo has a distinct feel to it. The atmosphere is more of a European restaurant, rather than what one would find in Louisville. Compared with other restaurants, I think that it's a bargain. One would find it really difficult to find a restaurant that sells a good quality wine for $17.00 for the bottle. I got the mixed grill that was $15.00 dollars and same with a salad...my friend ordered a ribeye for the same price, and added french fries for $2.00, which is comparative to other restaurants ($17.00 dollars for a ribeye, salad, and fries). The service was low key, which is what I like, and the desserts were top quality. I would definitely go back.

2/22/03 Visit. I really liked the food, but I think the prices were very high for the portions received. I ordered a fish entree for $10 even and all I got was 3 pieces of fish, nothing else. I had to order a salad separately, which also was very good, just really overpriced for the portion size.

I suggest you either decrease prices or increase portion sizes. I was there on a Saturday night about 7-8 pm and it was not crowded. I think I know why from my first experience there.
