Gimmick Marketing. Cold Stone's unique draw is the mixins that they customize your order with. Wow. Neat. But when I go out for Ice Cream, I'm looking for QUALITY ice cream and nothing more. In my opinion Cold Stone's ice cream is only marginable. It reminds me of the grocery store brands that are chock full of guar gum, carageenan, and oversized candy chunks. It's very low quality but that's not why people go to CSC.

Wow..... Quite simply....ice cream heaven. By a long shot, the best ice cream I've ever eaten. I've never tasted anything like it, it is declicious. The service is great and the employees were friendly.

Eat it. It's good!.
I was very pleasantly surprised when I came to Cold Stone Creamery on Bardstown Rd. for the first time with my boyfriend. The employees were friendly and both of our orders were excellent. You get to watch them squish your choice of ingredients into your choice of ice cream flavors. They also make cakes; I ordered one on the phone for Father's Day, and they couldn't have made a more perfect cake.
It's not too expensive, and definitely worth the couple bucks. They make their own ice cream and cones too!
