Most beautiful B&B I've ever been in.. The Culbertson is physically amazing. The home is huge, gorgeous, and has lots of common areas to soak up the experience of the property. In addition, the owner has spent decades acquiring antiques and paintings that are all consistent with the Victorian era of the home. It is like staying in a museum. Absence of off-street parking wasn't a big deal. The only downside of the property is a general vibe. The owner is gracious, but in a forced, uncomfortable, seems-to-hate-people kind of way. A young employee is very helpful, but seems more like an indentured servant. There are also additional "staff" who lurk around and never interact with the guests. Every B&B is also somebody's home with the same shifting, private, personal dynamics that effect all of our homes. The Culbertson staff may be fantastic human beings, but that doesn't change the fact that you feel like you've entered the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Its like visiting Count Dracula's castle -- amazingly beautiful, but something makes you very uncomfortable.…
