Avoid - poor management and quality control.
I ordered iced tea to drink while we perused the menu. The waitress said that they were out of tea. This was at 6:20 pm, and the restaurant had been open since lunch service. A Kroger is right across the street. It seems to me that the tea issue was a problem easily solved.
We both ordered lobster bisque. When it arrived we could see it was off. The color and texture were simply not correct. We tried it anyway, and it was so bad we just pushed the bowls away. The server noticed were weren't eating and asked whether we liked the bisque. I replied that we both love good bisque, but that we couldn't eat that night's offering. She replied, "Yeah, the bisque is weak today". So, she KNEW the bisque was bad, yet she gladly let us order it anyway.
She went away for a while and returned with ONE bowl of bisque to replace the TWO bad bowls (2 spoons). The replacement was much better, actually very good, but the entrees arrived 30 seconds later. We therefore had the choice of finishing the bisque while the entree got cold, or vice versa. That choice was made for us when we realized that there wasn't enough room on the tiny table-for-two for the appetizer and the entrees. So, the server took away the third bowl of uneaten bisque and left the entrees.
The crab legs were a surprise. They were dry. I mean bone-dry, not a hint of moisture at all. It was a distinctly unpleasant experience to put it in my mouth, like chewing on a cotton ball. They'd obviously been cooked much earlier and left under lamps for far too long. The server came by, noticed the crab legs weren't being eaten, and took them away without inquiry.
She came back and cheerfully asked if we wanted dessert. We weren't feeling very brave at that point. No coffee was offered.
The restaurant is obviously poorly managed, as evidenced by the minor tea issue and the major quality control issues. The chef who sent the first round of bisque out to us really needs to be fired, IMHO.
Great seafood but horrible service. I am not a big seafood person, but I love the food at this restraunt. Not a good place for kids because the service is really slow, I have had a dinner for four people take 3 hours!
