No better Italian atmosphere since the
demise of Grisanti's in DuPont. And excellent food!

Valentine's Day 2010 >Missing the WOW Factor.
Took my wife to Vincenzo's for Valentines Day, very romantic atmosphere, professional service (steve).
Werent real happy with the food quality or quanity for the price. The tableside service (warming up the food) was kind of cheesy and dated.
Had heard great things about this restaurant, the salad was awesome, the entree's were below average for the price, the cheesecake was terrible.
Would not reccomend to my out of town friends, want a little WOW factor for Valentines Day so was a little disappointed not horrible, but nothing to write home about.....

Nice experience!.
I was visiting Louisville, Ky for the very first time. I had the pleasure of having dinner at Vincenzo's with some friends. We where able to create our own appetizers, which I thought was a nice touch. We had Salmon with honey due and it was terrific. For dinner most of us got the "Touranado." The steak was so good it melts in your mouth.... The service was ok, I think we just got stuck with an awful waiter. When we asked for extra bread the bread was re-heated and did not taste very good. It also did not come until after about 4 times of asking for it. Overall I recommend you at least eat there once. The decor is very inviting and they have enough room for large groups. Also, if you take a good look at the outside architecture of the building it will leave a lasting impression.

What a letdown.
I made a reservation for a Valentine's day lunch last year. I asked for for a romantic corner table which they said they could do and I also asked if they were doing anything special for Valentine's day and they said no. We arrived and no one offered to take my coat or pull out my chair at the table right next to the kitchen they led us to. I asked if any other tables were available and was told sorry. The room did not fill up the entire time we were there which was a while because it took forever to place our order and get our food. A large group of businessmen who came in after us were served before us and the server waited on their every need. The server only showed up to our table sporadicly and I was really disappointed in the food. It was adequate but not what I was expecting for the price. As we left I noticed in the next room a lunch buffet with Valentine's decorations and tons of nice looking desserts. I asked the hostess about it and yes it was a Valentine's brunch open to anyone. I was so disappointed I wrote the owner a letter detailing my experience but never received any type of reply. I go to fine dining restaurants frequently and this was one of the biggest letdowns because I had heard about what a great place this is.

Expensive, but consistent.
I have never had anything less than an outstanding meal here. It does smell of sterno, but that's not so bad! At least I never smelled smoke! Nice jazz trio playing softly in hall. Food always flavorful and wait staff friendly, not stuffy. You get the feeling that they care about your whole experience. Waiter knew which wine we would enjoy after discussing a few- excellent choice!

EXCELLENCE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR VINCENZO'S.
Vincenzo's Restaurant is the absolute best ever restaurant in the Louisville area, especially since 610 Magnolia shut down. The service is impeccable, the food is out of this world, there just is no way to describe how this restaurant is the hands down best, I've ever been in and I've been in a lot of restaurants having travelled the world. Vincenzo Gabrielle, co-owner with brother Agostino(?), will personally hand feed you if he sees anything wrong or he knows it's a special night for any one. This restaurant makes everyone feel like a celebrity or superstar. Nobody and nothing beats Vincenzo's for excellence in every area.
Guaranteed.

Four star? Not.
Very disappointing. Caesar salad was warm, entree was tepid. Feature "tableside preparation" which means that they have warming tables with sterno. Probably because the food is ice cold coming out of the kitchen. Had a table in the middle of the room which meant that I could smell the sterno all evening. Server offered bread, I accepted, however he had no tongs to serve with, made me reach in. Not very 4 star IMHO. Big price, little value. Suffer from Big Fish in Small Pond syndrome. Would never make it in a city where patrons know what 4 star is all about.

The luxurious dining experience at this elegant Italian restaurant is well worth its price tag..
The Scene
The host warmly welcomes diners as they step into what was once a bank. Crisp white tablecloths, a team of waiters in tuxedos and the tableside preparations are just a few of the indications that diners will not only be sated, but feel pampered by the meal's end.
The Food
The tableside Caesar salad is an exemplar of the dish, dressed perfectly and topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The gnocci are potato dumplings bathed in a sauce that smacks of deep tomato flavor with pancetta. Though poultry, seafood and game birds are on the menu, veal is the specialty. The thick-cut veal chop, topped with spinach and aromatic garlic, is so tender it will melt in your mouth. Desserts are the weakest part of the menu, but perhaps that's in comparison with the riches that proceed them.

Class and Quality.
This is a resturant experience that is truly top notch. It offers a unique and classy environment. The service is professional and prompt. Most importantly, the food is incredible. You will pay top dollar for this experience but you will also walk away with the best Italian gormet meal Louisville has to offer.
