Location Has Change! Old Henry Road (Middle Town) Right by the Snyder!. Pit Stop BBQ is GREAT. The Resturant is much bigger now with a game room! It has 4 tv's to watch the game including a 42 in hd tv! It has its own party room for reservations as well.. Perfect for a party! Same owners, Same Great food. They are also now serving beer! A++

PIT STOP KNOWS BBQ. i was in town this weekend looking for great BBQ, i happened upon the pit stop, however they were closed, but i did catch the cook coming out of the restaurant, he was preparing for a catering job, so i asked where else i could find great bbq in town and he told me to come back in 45 minutes and he would serve us. GREAT! we came back in 45 minutes and were treated to some very good pulled pork, ribs and smoked pulled chicken. there really isnt a need to describe it, its just good, if i am ever in the area again, i will definetely be stopping by the pit stop. prices are very decent, and the restaurant is clean and well lit. great atmosphere

Limited hours shouldn't keep you from this downtown barbecue joint.. The Scene

This nondescript sandwich shop primarily caters to the downtown suit-and-tie lunch crowd--the food is cheap and the hours are limited. A few tables fill the small dining area and some outdoor seating is available, but there's not much to see other than a parking lot. People don't flock to Pit Stop for atmosphere--it's purely for the barbecue.

The Food

The hickory-smoked meats could easily stand alone, but once slathered in down-home mild or hot barbecue sauce, they're better than perfect. Fall-off-the-bone pork ribs and sliced beef brisket are especially worthwhile. House-smoked turkey served on thick grain bread is one of the best sandwiches around. Family-style baked beans, slaw or potato salad are fresh and tasty, but the hearty stuffed potato with cheese, bacon, sour cream and chives is nearly a meal in itself. Wash the hearty 'cue down with fresh iced tea or lemonade, and you'll wish they were still open for dinner.
