Ultra Expensive and Disappointing. Wow - what a salad for $9.00 It consisted of 3 Bibb lettace leaves, 2 small sections of white grapefruit and two crosscut slices of avocado and a very oily salad dressing. After this do I need to elaborate on their "value meals".
Totally Disappointed.
We had looked forward to a special evening with dinner and theatre. But our trip to Artemisia nearly ruined the entire night.
The bottle of wine was not chilled. (The waitress placed it on the table in a bucket of ice explaining that, due to the hot weather, the wine was not cold enough but would soon chill.)
My bouillabaisse was FILLED with celery (and little else).
My husband was brought lamb (rather than the duck he had ordered). When we asked the waitress, "Is this the duck?" her resonse was, "This is a new menu, I'm not familiar with the dishes yet."
We were brought two pieces of bread, and never offered more.
When I contacted the manager the next day to express my disappointment, she was extremely apologetic and stated that she would like to make it up to us by sending a gift certificate in the mail. The gift certificate never arrived. Needless to say, we have made our last trip to Artemisia.
Awesome!. I love this place! They have live jazz on the weekends in the courtyard, which is open year round. The food is delicious and super-fresh, since the chef uses mostly local ingredients. My favorites are the KY raised pork chop for dinner, and at lunch I love the quiche served with a salad. On the 1st Friday of every month, you can have free trolley rides for the galleries in the area that stay open late. It's fun and reasonably priced, and I once saw Bill Murray eating here!
Unique. Candlelit courtyard with live jazz. The menu is fun and interesting without breaking your wallet. The chef has designed a menu with many different types of meat. The Duck breast is very tender with a sweet and spicy flavor. Artemisia offers a romantic setting for couples but also has friendly service for families.
The best restaurant in Louisville!!!!.
Wine list is great, service is swift and knowledgeable, the food is AMAZING!
Also, the atmosphere can not be beat. Contemporary art, soft lighting, live jazz, outdoor seating... I just love it.
