History: – This double shotgun house in Butchertown is one of the places Edison lived when he worked as a telegraph operator in Louisville from 1866-7. The museum consists of the small, spartan, front bedroom where he studied chemistry late into the night, decorated as it might have been when he was in residence. The rest of the house is devoted to memorabilia from Edison's many inventions. – – Don't Miss: – The surprisingly large collection of antique lightbulbs.
