Can be a friendly crowd, mature gay men. Teddy Bear's is a bar that is usually hosting gay men 30-65. It's a rather decent building and is surprisingly brightly lit. The bartender and customers tend to be very welcoming and friendly. You are unlikely to sit alone at the bar with no one talking to you. The drinks are pretty cheap.

The bar is often compared to Woody's Tavern, not too far away on Burnett. (Woody's is not listed on this directory). Some men go to both places. I prefer Woody's because the men there are also laid-back, unpretentious and friendly and it has a large covered patio. But I like Teddy Bear's too. Some people think the neighborhood around Teddy Bear's is dangerous, but I had never had a problem or seen any problems.
