The Scene – The original bistro on Bardstown Road gave Louisvillians casual cafe dining with international flare more than 25 years ago. What was once cutting edge is now familiar and reliable. There are three locations in all, but the original is the real gem, with outdoor dining surrounded by a walled garden. – – The Food – Golden artichoke fritters, a cup of black bean soup or the grilled chicken tapas are wonderful starts. It is one of my favorite restaraunts in town. Outdoor dining --- good for dates.
The bar and list of wine are good.

A Louisville Safe Haven

Out of the places that have come & gone and the ones that that have changed over the years, The Bristol is one of the few left I really like in Louisville. Like many patrons, I also go weekly. Service is always top notch and professional. Turnover among the staff is very low. No one is treated better than anybody else. The food is always excellent and very filling. The clientele is classy, not pretentious. Customers don't to go to "people watch", but to actually enjoy a good meal. What a concept! For those who miss Pasquales and The Hungry Pelican, this should be your choice to dine out.

- Cons: Crowded late
