The Scene – Children with parents or grandparents dominate this quaint shop. The cheery space is set in a nondescript shopping center, cluttered with knickknacks and a glass case filled with frosted layer cakes, latticed berry pies and mounds of meringues. You'll feel like a kid in a sugar factory. – – The Food – Like Disney World, don't try to do The Pie Kitchen in a day. It would take months of diligently indulgent visits to order everything on the expansive, always-evolving menu. Dozens of heavenly hand-dipped ice creams and yogurts are made on the premises.…
Love Homemade

Love this establishment, everything I have tasted is a delight and taste homemade. I will continue to give them my business. Homemade has branched out to Clarksville, IN and yes that location is splendid also.
- Pros: just too good to eat
- Cons: addictive and fattening
Best Customer Service in town!!!
by lovegoodservice
I frequent the new location on Bardstown Rd. near KFC, and every time I am fortunate enough to experience not only good old fashioned pie and ice cream, but also old fashioned, honest-to-goodness genuinely good customer service. It seems as if one girl in particular, Heather, is always there. She beams a huge smile at every customer she greets. She seems as if she is honestly excited that you have dropped in. Even when extremely busy, I've never seen her frustrated, angry or disrespectful.
If this is the type of service that Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen teaches their employees, then they have a really good philosophy going. Keep up the good work!
- Pros: Atmosphere, Service and Food
- Cons: Parking can be difficult at times
Very expensive, confusing pricing and rude employee.

I don't recommend the Clarksville location. We wanted sundae's and were surprised to learn that it's really just two scoops of ice cream and whipped cream. If you want hot fudge you have to pay $1 extra making it $5.23. We thought that pretty expensive and ridiculous b/c an entire banana split is thirty cents cheaper than that. The employee waiting on us was rude and couldn't be bothered to explain anything. We won't be returning.
- Pros: None from my perspective
- Cons: very expensive, rude employee, confusing pricing
