A Landmark...... I can remember this store being exactly where it is since I was very young. Growing up in Louisville my whole life a few things have stuck in my mind, and Cherokee Coins and Jewelry is one of them. Being an amateur collector and seller at best, I have a general knowledge of coins. I have total and utmost confidence in the ability of Steve and his staff to continue to educate me on the worth of coins and other collectibles. Several times I have just "walked in" and every time to be greeted warmly. Never once have I walked out without being totally satisfied with a great experience. When I purchase an item, it is given at a fair and satisfying price. As an avid buyer and seller on eBay I am NOT totally devoid of knowledge, so I know a great deal when I get one! I regularly buy silver bullion from here and believe me, it is the BEST price I can get anywhere. If you want someplace that consistently delivers above and beyond your expectations, then by all means visit this store! By the way, take a look around while you are there because some very interesting, nostalgic surprises await!

The Best!!. Great Store and Great People!!!

On a recent trip to Cherokee Coins I had a most excellent experience! I was selling some of my coins and estate jewelry and dealt with the owner Steve. He was very friendly and very knowledgable about these type of items. He gave me information about my items no other dealer knew or had offered to tell me. It was a nice experience, and in the end he paid me more than other dealers had offered me!! I was very happy and would return to the store to do more business with him again! Thanks again!!

The Worst!. If I could of left a -0 star I would! I went in there just to see the value of some old coins that I have been collecting for over 30 years. I am not desperate for money and I said I would only sell if the numbers were right. The guy started pulling everything out, I helped and the owner said I know you're not counting all of that and the guy said yes if she wants to sell it. I just blew him off, but when then guy said I will give you $32 for everything I said I will have to decline and take it with me. 30+ years of collecting is not worth selling for $32, like I stated I was not hurting for money. The owner stated rambling in the back ground saying you counted all that for nothing? The worker replied with a slurred and disgusted YES. I had asked to see a ring prior to this little exchange of words, but after that I grabbed my stuff up and said my money is to good to spend in here and my husband and I left the store. It does NOT say you MUST sell your stuff if you come in for an appraisal and the guy only spent maybe 10-15 minutes with us TOPS! It was not like it was an all day affair and they were NOT busy, only one other set of people in there and THREE workers! Needless to say take your run down store and your cheap run down Lexus RX 300, RETIRE and take a trip out of the country! No one needs or wants you nasty attitude here! I went down to St. Charles and purchased a NEW sapphire ring instead of your cheap "Estate" jewelry!
