We moved in August 27 2013 to an unbelievably loud poorly constructed apartment and the apartment felt like the people above us were going to fall through the roof. It is like living in a cardboard box when it rains bowling balls We spent the first few days sleeping on the floor at previous apartment and even went to a hotel. After asking to transfer we were told after 6 months, We didn't mind the unlevelness the carpet tacks in walkways the flooding in the basement and all the other issues but to not allow a transfer or address the constant noise is an admission that the place is just poorly constructed, I've been living in nothing but similar apartments for over 30 years and I never said this about any, STAY AWAY!!!
Not Sold – The location and lay out are desirable and the apartments are fairly inexpensive. However, the communication between landlord/ tenants is lacking. Being in a customer relations position myself, if I dealt with my clients the way the staff here deals with us, I would be out of a job. Our hot water has been out for three days and the staff claims that it is on when we are at work. Well that doesn't help me. Our heat was out for two days in December. Yes TWO DAYS! Every time we have a maintenance issue the generic response is "Our maintenance man is off site right now". Our move in checklist was filled out for us (which we submitted again because things were conveniently left off). A memo, flyer, notice, phone call or some form of communication in general when emergencies or chronic problems occur would give this complex a few more stars. We will not be staying here after our lease is up due to the quality of service we've receive.
Nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there... – Eagels Eyrie and Brown Noltemeyer Co. Pros: Lots of Space, Great Neighborhood (Cresent Hill, Clifton) Cons: Parking stinks; it usually takes them several times to fix something and often they don't clean up or put things back where they go; AUTOMATIC 1-YEAR LEASE EVERY YEAR which makes it darn near impossible to move out without paying a large penalty even when buying a homeRENTERS BEWARE OF THIS UNSAVORY TACTIC TO TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!; rude office managers; centipede problem that they say they can do nothing about (but you can bet that you pay for that exterminator that comes every month!); very lax about maintaining yard clean-up especially in the fall with all the leaves (especially if you live in a ground floor apartment like I did), lots of water related problems: structural leaks (due to no/bad flashing on exterior) and lots of pipe issues; it wasn't as bad this year, but the pool in the summer often has lifeguards that don't bother to show up (therefore you can't swim or even sit by the pool (but you better believe you pay for the honor of having that pool); These morons wallpaper the bathrooms (and kitchens) and then provide the smallest exhaust fans in the world (that they simply paint over when 'fixing' up an apartment for new tenants lessening the suction even more)...can you say mold and nasty peeling wallpaper? I guess since hot water is hard to come by at peak times, they don't think steam is an issue; units are extremely drafty and not well insulated or energy efficient. Money grubbing company with not a shred of decency from the office managers on up. Since when did owning a business proclude you from being human? These people are robots, the lot of them. Wouldn't do business with them of any kind if THEY PAID ME.
