The Scene
A National Historic Landmark built in 1790, this restored Georgian brick mansion is located on a 55-acre estate six miles upriver from downtown Louisville. In addition to the main house, the grounds include a kitchen, ice house, spring house, visitor center and the Hands On History center built in 1998. The estate is beautiful, planted with locust and Kentucky coffee trees, and is often the site of summertime weddings.
