So Awful.
So, I asked to see a "medium" level stylist and the lady making my appointment sent me to the "Talent" location which means girls right out of beauty school.
I was kept waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time and finally someone came to see me and have me show them the color I wanted based on a Google search. I told them I wanted to go from light brown to all over blonde, without piecey looking color and without killing my hair because I'm getting married in a few months.
For the next two hours, she foiled my hair all over, making me prepare the foils for her. She didn't say a word to me the whole time-it was one of the most excruciating two hours I have ever spent. I was told that I would be done in time for a later appointment and I would be out by 4. At ten to 4, she finally took my foils out then made me stand while she blew dry my hair, which was orange, piecy, and extremely damaged. And then they charged me $90 for ruining my hair. I have NO IDEA how Z Salon has the reputation for being good. I am furious.…
This place is a joke!.
I have gone to the Hurstbourne Ln. and Bardstown Rd. locations and I can't get the stylists to LISTEN to ME and give me a cut that I want. They don't cut too much which is good, but they barely cut
anything!
I found a stylist several years back at the Bardstown Rd location who was fantastic! I would have stayed with her forever except I was told she walked out one day and nobody would tell me where she worked. Hmmm....wonder why she did that.
I just feel like for the price they would have people there that could actually cut and style hair, but I haven't found anyone there in years who did any good. I left this past week looking like I came out of Super Cuts or something, but my wallet sure felt the hit and I'm stuck with hair I can't stand (again). Lesson learned - NEVER GOING BACK!
The girl who did the cut was very sweet and she really tried but she just was not ready to be on the floor cutting real client's hair. She had no clue what she was doing. She came to get me 20 minutes late. I was annoyed but let it go. But when she took over an hour unsuccessfully trying to cut my hair (which is a pretty simple cut, by the way), one of the hostesses very loudly let her know her next client was getting very upset. As rude as that was, I took my cue to tell my stylist my hair was satisfactory. Honestly, I was ready to get the Hell out of there. She wasn't going to get it right no matter how long I was in her chair, but the audacity of the hostess really ticked me off. As stated above, I won't be returning.…
Not all that good. I went to Z Salon every 6-7 weeks for many of the past 14 years since we moved here. I went to both of the Hurstbourne/Shelbyville Road locations, driving from La Grange for my appointments. It seemed like a good, albeit expensive, salon for most of the time. But I got really tired of being shuffled to someone else for my cut or color because the stylist or colorist just happened to be gone for the day. Although there seemed to be some employees who were consistent over time, there was a fair amount of turnover. And it seemed very impersonal even after going there for a number of years. I found a much more successful experience at Diva in Crestwood with less travel time.…
dont waste your money. wow what a joke. you can totally tell which reviews were written by real customers and which reviews were written by people who work there. lmao. nice recovery. NOT
WORST PLACE EVER!. Took my Mom there for Mother's Day gift for a haircut & style and makeup done. Never been there before so when I called for an appointment for her they didn't tell me that there were different level stylist. She had a lower level stylist which did horrible on her hair and didn't even style it she just blow dryed my Mom's hair I thought I was at Fantastic Sams. With that kind of money even the lower level stylist should be better than that. Well then time for her make up...mind you my Mom has blue eyes and pale skin. They didn't know who was going to do it and pulled some girl to put her makeup on (i told then this in the call) and she put orange and black eyeshadow on her. I was so upset I went to the customer service desk and they where snobs and kinda laughed me off. Maybe cause I said the lady doing my Mom's makeup is putting Halloween colors on her. The Manager explained that my Mom should have been schduled with a higher level artist. She didn't really care! I could have done my Mom's hair and makeup better than that. ANYONE could! It was like I was at a hair design school not a high end spa.…
