My family and I we use to go every weakened they closed now we go to the one on hursburne lane we miss it it was the best

Pick a restaurant any restaurant and it will be better than Ernesto's.. Absolutely one of the worst Mexican style restaurants around. Very poor service. Not only is the food not authentic, but the chili relleno I was served was very small and tasted like it was made with Velveeta cheese - yuk!

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, DIRTY KITCHEN, RECYCLED SALSA. ernestos is the worse place to EVER work. they treat all there employees BADLY& the restarant is very dirty. all the way to the food until the INSECTS and salsa that they reuse from previous tables. If u want to stay healthy DONT EAT THERE

If you love Velvetta cheese you will love this place. The salsa is great but when you expect really good shredded cheese on your food you get canned velvetta cheese instead.. totally gross. I will never go back.

It doesn't get any worse than this. I have eaten a lot of excellent Mexican food in my day, it's some of my favorite food, but this restaurant is far and away the WORST I've ever had. You can't put Velveeta type cheese in your Chile Rellenos or Enchiladas and call it Mexican food. The food is horrendous. If you know real Mexican food do yourself a huge favor and pass on this abomination. To underline my point, a frozen dinner from Hungryman is far superior to this food. I don't consider Hungryman Enchiladas to be good Mexican food, but it's much better than this. Save yourself some time, money and a huge headache and run out to Krogers if you're not able to visit a border town for some real Mexican food in the near future.

Best Mexcan this side of the Border!!!! 4 Stars. Ernesto's is by far the best mexican restaurant in Louisville. They have the best margaritas in town. The food is to die for. I've had just about everything on the menu.

The service is wonderful. This restaurant has the nicest, friendliest staff. If you have any questions or comments don't hesitate to let the management know (Shannon or Flor). See can't you tell we're regulars to know the management on a first-name basis. I guess I should know their names we visit the restaurant at least 4 times a week. They are very helpful. They like to recommend dishes to me. They haven't disappointed me yet. Looking for entertainment? Don't go to far. They have live music in the bar area every friday and saturday. Don't miss out on the happy hour . I believe it's from 4-7 from monday until thursday. Give it a try people. You'll be pleased!!!!!!!

User review by taybear. The BEST place in town to eat or just hag out at the bar and have a couple of drinks. The only drawback is they need to hire Luis back ASAP. He was the reason many, many people went there. He made everyone feel welcome and like family. He is greatly missed.

Great semi-authentic mexican dinning!. It may be a bit pricey, but worth the splurge once in a while. No tex-mex here. I'm been there a few times and have had great, super and efficent service. The one time a went with a big group however, the service wasn't so good. It's crowded and noisy
