Poor food in an expensive suit.

The crab comes delivered to Joe's Crab Shack pre-cooked and frozen. It's a great view and a wonderful atmosphere, but it doesn't justify the $20-$30 spent for a bucket of crab meat that you could have easily gotten from a local grocery.
- Pros: Wonderful view of the river.
- Cons: Food is not fresh.
Worst Experience Ever
by Kate C at Citysearch
Had to wait 30 mintues for a drink. When we brought this to the attention of the management, they didn't apologize, just scorned the bartender in front of everyone. Very unprofessional. Didn't offer anything to compensate. Food was disgusting. We were never checked on by management the rest of the time. The server was even embarrased by the treatment. I sent an email to their corporate headquarters-because this was literally the worst experience of my life. No response. Terrible terrible restaurant. I will never be back and I will share my experience with everyone that ever mentions the place. Don't go. There are a million better seafood restaurants in the city.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Everything
A colorful seafood restaurant for kids of all ages--especially the younger ones.

In Short
Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.
