Best live venue in town

Headliners is a live music club that brings in both local and national acts of all kinds. It has a nice atmosphere in a large old building with brick walls with the original handpainted murals inside. There is a good sized dance floor in front of the stage and a second floor balcony area. Well known and new acts are booked so keep an eye out, one of your faves is sure to pass by.

• Pros: Great variety of live acts, good east end location between downtown and Highlands neighborhood
• Cons: Hard to get a drink at the bar when it is packed, small often dirty ladies room

Great place to meet the band!

I have meet so, so many famous band members here. It is great for seeing new found bands on there edge of fame. I have met Kiss Hannah, Fly Leaf, Powerman 5000, Cage9, and the list goes on.....I live in Louisville and have been going to Headliners for almost 14 years now. It's the best place to go to meet the band, but do be mindful of drunks throwing beer bottles, as my daughter and I got hurt with flying glass on one occasion. "Cobra Starship" was playing, and it was an all ages show. There was alcohol still being served to the adults, but don't think it's safe to just bring your kids and drop them off at the door.

It can get a little wild with the heavy more aggressive types of music so don't forget about the "mosh pitters" as they don't think about you. Steer clear of any aggressive people who might potentially be harmful. As goes for any bar with all ages and alcohol is concerned!

Best music venue

Hands down, the best music venue to watch concerts besides the Palace in Louisville. The room is all open space and it's not too big and not too small.

This Louisville nightclub features hard-rocking acts. No frills. Nothing fancy.

The Scene
Headliners stands apart from other Louisville nightclubs for one reason: Music is all it does. This 600-capacity club features a large stage and high-fidelity sound. There are two bars, one serving a spacious balcony and the other spread handsomely across the rear of the first floor.

The Draw
A variety of national, regional and local musicians perform several nights a week for reasonable, and often downright cheap, cover charges. Folks such as Everclear, Everlast, the Del McCoury Band and even death-metal boys Slayer have stopped by, giving fans a chance to bang heads in an intimate setting. Headliners doesn't serve food, and it has no cigar lounges. It's not even open on nights when a band isn't playing. People come for the music, that's all there is to it.
